Mr. Penalba and two partners have made visit Saturday 3 December to the operational center of Alpi Aviation in Pordenone to take a look directly at the operative activity...

Pictures show the British Spec Pioneer 200 and Pioneer 300 at the Sports and Leisure Aviation Show (SPLASH) at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham 26/27 November 2005. The Pioneer 300 G-LXUS was displayed as a Project in Process and is owned by Mr Campbell Walters. The Pioneer 200 G-CDSB (the UK prototype) is currently undergoing its' Flight Test Schedule and will shortly receive its Permit to Fly from the Popular Flying Association. Both kits are currently available as Advanced Home Build Kits under JAR VLA regulations...

Logan McLean, the ALPI agent for Australia and New Zealand flew into Kerikeri at the end of his Australian Tour on Saturday 5th November just after lunch, after having flown non-stop from Lord Howe Island - overflying Norfolk island - in just over 6 hours, experiencing a groundspeed of around 130 kts. Logan flew the latest ALPI Pioneer -300 fitted with a Jabiru engine with a fixed pitch prop. an amazing achievement and one that will help establish microlights as being here to stay ! He isn't the first microlight to fly Trans-Tasman v.v. of course, just the first in an ALPI Pioneer, but to the individual the feat is just as daunting and praise-worthy - it is the first for him!
