The idea to build ultralight aircraft provided with a shape and performances similar, or better, with respect to the general aviation ones, has born into a group of amateur builders within the half of nineties. Starting from "Asso" aircraft project design, the constructive technique has been developed step by step.

 
 
1998
Coming from Asso experience, The Pioneer 300: ultralight aircraft which gains the Profilo, with refined technical solutions and high levelled performances which lead it to the top of the range.

Retracting landing gear, motor flaps, tapered wings, carbon fuselage, wing tanks, together with 300 Km per hour of VNE, lead the Pioneer 300 to represent the new standard within the high-levelled range of pleasure-aircrafts.

The wood together with new materials allows Pioneer 300 to remain within the ultralight aircraft load foreseen by Rules.The first engines installed are the MID-WEST ones. This is a new for the ultralight aircraft world too.The first fly-test is done and the article appeared into "VOLARE" magazine is a concentrate of appreciations for Pioneer 300.

 
 
1999
It's time to grow up ALPI AVIATION SRL is founded to penetrate a market which requires more and more performing aircrafts.

The natural site of the company is located into the wide area of La Comina near Pordenone. Place plenty of historical aviation landmarks: here in1910 has born the first Italian Flight School.

The productive line of Pioneer 300 starts. The workmanships are a mix of craftsmanship and industrial dynamism. In the productive process are now involved selected suppliers following their quality skill.The first order comes: Germany! A great challenge for ALPI AVIATION because of the severe tests to which the aircraft is undergone to obtain the desired BFU (German Certification). Challenge agreed and won!

 
 
2000
Orders come more and more thanks to the marketing campaign by means of the participation to the main air shows where ALPI AVIATION booth is always the hit of the mark.Into the most famous air show fair all over the world in Florida, the SUN'&'FUN, Pioneer 300 catches the interest of the US people. Within the end of the year the first four aircrafts are bought to the States.In the meantime the foundation for an innovative aricraft is prepared: the PIONEER 200.


 
 
2001
As PIONEER 300 conquerors involves more and more people: it is exported to Spain, France, Luxembourg, and of course Germany and USA, PIONEER 200 has born. This aircraft inherits from its brother the low wing and several details.

Without changing the qualitative level of the components, has born a simple and fast ultralight aircraft.

A strict costs policy permits to propose it to a public with the lower cost related to its performances. The Flight Schools' interest is the most evidence.

 
 
2002
ALPI AVIATION SRL production is increasing and the new and modern company plant has born to satisfy the new markets requiring "Pioneers". NEW ZEALAND, SOUTH AFRICA, CANADA e BELGIUM are just some Countries of the new ALPI AVIATION dealers.

2003
The future is today. It is foreseen the productive growing and the market spreading. All quality standard efforts to improve our aircrafts.

An Engineering Team undergoes all "Pioneers" to all tests foreseen for foreign countries.

New projects are analysed to increase the market area of ALPI AVIATION, today first in Italy.
 
     
 
2004
One of the best year for the factory that permitted to strongly grow up and develop a new family product, the aerobatic Pioneer 330 and a new and cheaper Pioneer 200 version equipped with the well known Sauer engine.

During this year the factory got the UK, JAR-VLA standards certification, a strongly and severe certification standard, really pursued and finally obtained as a relevant objective. In the same year, the factory started also the Pioneer 200 certification with respect to the same standard, planning to get the final approval in the 2005.

During that year the factory started a foreign countries commercial activity relaunch program and new research and development programs.The factory facilities are growing-on fallowing the market, the Croatian Alpi factory has been renewed and enlarged with a completely new shed that permits an higher production rate for the wood structure that involves the higher man hours amount during the manufacturing process.

The factory research and development future plans, partially started, will give the needed capability of introduce new innovative and performing models.The factory growing process is represented by the ISO UNI 9001-Vision certification, that, during the year ended the documentation preparation phase planning to get the final certification in the 2005.
 
     
 
2005

In April the aimed and relevant ISO UNI 9001-Vision certification objective has been reached after two days of inspections and verification by the DNV certification authority, one of the most severe in Europe.

The Croatian factory is working very well and the production is going to rise quickly keeping at the same time an higher quality standard fro the whole production cycle.

The Pioneer 200 is getting the final approval with respect to the UK, JAR-VLA standards certification that will become operative during this year. In the early month of the year, the Pioneer 200 got also the German BFU certification, one of the most severe standards in Europe.

The engineering activity is going on keeping updated all the products and the related technical documentation connected to them, flight manuals, construction manuals, maintenance manuals, etc…

During the year, the continuously factory growing process materialized in the new Pioneer 300 model, called Pioneer 300 Hawk, that, starting from the P300 base, has been modified and improved in the comfort, look, avionics and some more technical aspects. This new model got immediately a surprising success going to be the factory top model.

Going on with respect to the certification activity and following the new Sport Pilot Regulation in the USA, the factory started the certification procedure that is still within its capability.

That certification, planned to be gotten during the 2006, represent one of the best markets for the factory giving the possibility to do another growing step in the overseas markets. The year is not ended and some news will be filled with the last factory progresses in the near future.
